	"In the past few weeks we believe we may have identified a new clinico-pathological phenotype of CJD which may be unique to the United Kingdom. This raises the possibility of a causative link between BSE and CJD". Dr Robert Will of the National Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Surveillance Unit, in a letter to all the neurologists in the UK, On 21st March 1996.
