Immunocore Limited, just south of Oxford, UK, is an innovative and dynamic biotechnology company developing a unique platform of T Cell antigen receptor-based therapeutics, called ImmTACs, as a novel class of treatments for cancer. Having recently entered into four major partnerships with Genentech, GlaxoSmithKline, MedImmune and Eli Lilly, and with our first drug candidate in clinical trials as well as a pipeline of TCRs to follow, we are seeking to strengthen our:

CRISPR TEAM, PRECLINICAL BIOLOGY GROUP

Cell Biology is a dynamic, multi-faceted department comprising T cell cloning, PRECLINICAL BIOLOGY, ImmTAC research and biomarkers & diagnostics groups.

Skills
CELLULAR & MOLECULAR BIOLOGIST – SCIENTIST (2 positions)

We are seeking a scientist with a diverse skill set in cellular & molecular biology to join our recently set-up CRISPR team within the preclinical biology group. The role would mainly focus on gene editing of cell lines used in preclinical assessment of new drug candidates and in mechanism of action studies, while contributing to the establishment of a robust CRISPR workflow.

ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES:

PhD in Life Sciences or MSc with good laboratory experience.

Highly flexible, goal-orientated, able to work at the fast pace demanded by a biotech company.

Attention to detail; capable of dealing with parallel projects;

Good time management; ability to work to deadlines;

Excellent communication skills.

ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Working with cells in culture.

DNA/RNA transfection and viral transduction.

A variety of molecular biology techniques including PCR, DNA vector preparation and sequence analysis.

Flow cytometry.

DESIRABLE TECHNICAL SKILLS:

CRISPR knock-out

RT-qPCR
Basic bioinformatics skills
