We are currently accepting applications for a full-time post-doctoral researcher in Molecular Virology to start immediately. We are looking for a talented molecular virologist to work on developing and improving a mosquito-specific parvovirus (densovirus) gene transduction system for genetic manipulation of Anopheles mosquitoes.

Position is available for an initial period of one year, with additional years dependent on performance and funding availability.

Keywords: Vector biology, arbovirus, mosquito, pathogen, densovirus, parvovirus

Candidate must have experience with virology, molecular biology (construct design, cloning, cell culture, PCR, DNA and RNA work and general microbiological methods).

Experience working with parvovirus expression systems (AAV, densovirus) is a plus. Experience with microRNAs also a plus.

Experience working with mosquitoes or insects is not required.

The successful applicant will have senior-author peer-reviewed publications, a history of independent grant awards and a PhD in hand in molecular biology, virology, biochemistry, entomology, or related field.
