Description
The Department of Pharmacological Sciences at Stony Brook University is seeking a full-time talented Postdoctoral Research Scholar to join a new exciting research opportunity in the laboratory of Dr. Chioma Okeoma. The ideal candidate will join ongoing research investigating the role of host factors in breast cancer development and progression. The ideal candidate will play a role in ongoing research to de-risk a patented peptide, determine mechanism of action, as well as participate in emerging collaborative research towards commercialization. New and experienced postdoctoral fellows seeking an opportunity to carve a niche in cutting age research are encouraged to apply.

Skills
Required Qualifications:
•        Strong background in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, or cancer biology
•        Ability to independently design, execute, and interpret experiments
•        Ability to work in collaboration with other members of the laboratory
•        Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•        Ability to multi-task
•        Experience in extracellular vesicles biology is a plus
