Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor – Virology
The Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology http://medicine.missouri.edu/departments/molecular-microbiology-and-immunology/ at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri, invites applications for one or more tenure-track virology faculty positions at any rank. We seek strong individuals in any area of modern virology, broadly defined. We are particularly interested in candidates who can form collegial and collaborative relationships with other faculty at MU, capitalize on the broad range of research themes at the institution, and integrate perspectives from multiple disciplines. The new hire will join a diverse group of virologists in the pathogenesis wing of the Life Sciences Center (LSC) https://bondlsc.missouri.edu, a state-of-the-art, multi-disciplinary facility. The LSC is designed to provide a highly interactive scientific environment.
The successful candidate will be expected to establish and/or maintain a strong extramurally–funded research program and to participate in undergraduate, graduate and professional education.
