An entry level Postdoctoral Affiliate position in microbiology is immediately available at the Li lab in the Wadsworth Center, New York State Department of Health, Albany NY. The Li lab focuses on both the basic biology and therapeutic development of human pathogens including Dengue virus, Zika virus, Cryptococcus neoformans, and mycobacteria. The candidate will perform experiments related to therapeutic development against these pathogens, including, but not limited to, molecular biology, cell culture, animal experimentation and surgery, data analysis, and structural studies.
The position will be funded for 1-3 years, and come with full benefits. Highly motivated and creative individuals with experience in molecular virology, microbiology, animal models and structure biology are encouraged to apply.
