The research will employ reverse genetics combined with molecular, cell biology, biochemical and chemoproteomics approaches to: 1) Identify and functionally characterize arena virus-host cell protein interactions. 2) Identify targets for the development of novel antiviral drugs. 3) Implement molecular approaches to design of live attenuated vaccines.

Expertise in the use of cell and molecular experimental procedures.
Competent in cloning and experimental procedures to identify and functionally characterize protein-protein interactions.
