A postdoctoral position in influenza molecular biology, virology and immunology is immediately available in the laboratory of Luis Martinez-Sobrido in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at University of Rochester Medical Center in New York.
Our laboratory is a member of the New York Influenza Center of Excellence (NYICE), which is part of the NIAID Centers of Excellence in Influenza Research and Surveillance (CEIRS) network. Our research interest focuses on the molecular biology and in the evasion of the innate immune response by viruses, mainly influenza.
The postdoctoral fellow will work with a vibrant and international collaborative group of virologist and immunologist in direct interaction/collaboration with other virologist and immunologist. Ideal candidates should have training and experience in molecular biology, immunology and virology as well as strong communication skills and be able to write efficiently in English.
The position is available for 12 months initially with the possibility of renewal for one or more years, depending on the performance.
