Description A postdoctoral position is available to identify evolutionarily conserved host factors critical for viral infection and immunity utilizing the recently established Orsay virus-C. elegans infection system. Forward and reverse genetic screens in C. elegans will be employed to define genes important for virus infection and antiviral immunity and functions of orthologous genes in mammals will be tested.
