The laboratory of Dr. Marlene Bouvier in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine is seeking to fill a Postdoctoral position. The successful candidate will play an important role in our studies of viral immune evasion mechanisms involving Adenovirus and various cell surface immune receptors.

Our ideal candidate will have bench experience in eukaryotic/bacterial cell culture, molecular biology, and basic immunology and virology assays and techniques. The candidate will have the opportunity to work in a laboratory that also uses protein biochemical and structural approaches.

Key responsibilities:
-Plan and execute experiments, and analyze results.
-Propose and implement changes to the experimental plan as needed.
-Assist with the writing of research findings for publications, presentations, or grant applications.

Sought Qualifications: PhD degree in Immunology, Virology, or Cellular and Molecular Biology, and solid experience with the approaches listed above. Excellent communication skills.
