The Boon-lab at Washington University in St Louis, Missouri is hiring a Postdoctoral fellow to study antibody mediated immunity to influenza virus.

The goal of the project is to investigate the impact of genetic variation and prior exposure on the antibody response and repertoire to influenza virus. The techniques for this project include single-cell sequencing, mouse genetics, and antibody-based assays, such as ELISA, and virus-neutralization assays.

Our lab is housed in the Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine on a floor with several other laboratories that study virus-host interactions. We have ongoing collaborations with labs in many other departments in the University including Molecular Microbiology and Pathology and Immunology.

For consideration, applicants must:
• Have a PhD in molecular biology, genetics, microbiology, immunology or a similar field.
• Have published in high-quality international peer-reviewed journals.
• Have the ability to guide research projects and maintain detailed records of experimental work.
• Good interpersonal skills and willingness to mentor students and technicians.
• Excellent English speaking, reading and writing skills are required.
