The Research Center for Emerging Viral Infections(RCEVI) of Chang Gung University(CGU), Taiwan seeks qualified candidates interested in virus-host interactions, emerging infectious diseases and virology. The salary of this full time position is based on Executive Yuan, Republic of China (Taiwan) Pay Scale. Besides, the CGU also provides Performance Reward and Research Reward for individuals.

We wish to recruit an outstanding scientist with innovative ideas, a strong publication record, and a desire to create their own unique research program to fill a position at the level of assistant or associate professor. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree and have at least two years of postdoctoral experience.

Currently, the CGU has nearly 30 departments and graduate institutes in 3 colleges: the College of Medicine, the College of Engineering, and the College of Management. We have a faculty of over 1,200 full-time and part-time teaching staffs and over 7,300 students. In CWTS Leiden Ranking 2017, the CGU were ranked at 221 out of 903 universities worldwide and the top 3 university in Taiwan.
Now we’ve four faculties, two Assistant Research Fellows, one Postdoctoral Fellow and two staffs in our center. The goals of the Research Center for Emerging Viral Infections (RCEVI) is to improve knowledge and technology pertaining to the identification and characterization of new viruses. Studies conducted at the RCEVI will involve further research related to pathogenesis, vaccine and antiviral drug development, viral evolution and transmission models.
