Founded in 2013, LARAD is using virus-like-particle technology to produce safe and effective vaccines and diagnostic reagents for diseases in food animals. LARAD’s initial focus is using technology licensed from The Ohio State University to produce vaccines against infectious bursal disease virus, a pathogen that causes an immunosuppressive disease in poultry. LARAD is located at the BioHio Research Park on the campus of the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC) in Wooster, OH.
